FIFO life can be a rollercoaster, right?
It’s not always easy for others to understand what FIFO really feels like – but we do. The loneliness, the isolation and the constant change can be tough on workers on site and on families at home.
That’s why we host FIFO Family meet‑ups, workshops and events: to connect you with other FIFO families who truly get it.
If you’re looking for your community, this is it.
Our meet‑ups are designed to build real connections, grow your FIFO network and make life a little less lonely – and a lot more fun.
How do we support
FIFO Families?
The FIFO Family Project was created to fill the gap in dedicated support for FIFO families. We provide community events, practical resources and workplace wellbeing initiatives so every member of the FIFO family has the support they need to navigate this unique lifestyle and to feel stronger, more connected and understood along the way.

Events + Meet-ups
community connection
Stronger FIFO families start with community.
Our regular meet‑ups give FIFO workers, partners and kids a place to connect with others who genuinely understand the ups and downs of FIFO life. Every member of the FIFO family is welcome to come along, make new friends and enjoy a break from the routine in a safe, supportive environment.

Education + Information
knowledge hub
Practical support, whenever you need it.
From managing stress while your partner is away, to supporting kids with big emotions and making the most of time together at home, our resources are designed for real FIFO life. Articles, checklists, workshops and webinars offer evidence‑informed, easy‑to‑use strategies to help FIFO families not just cope but thrive.

Workshops + Packages
workplace wellbeing
Family‑focused support for safer, more sustainable workforces.
Supporting the wellbeing of FIFO families is critical to retention, safety and performance. We partner with organisations to design tailored workplace wellbeing initiatives that address the specific needs of their FIFO workforce and families. Together, we create environments where FIFO families thrive – and business outcomes improve.
“I thought it was just me”
Living a FIFO lifestyle means a lot of adjustments – and not just for the person working away. There are multiple inductions and briefings for the FIFO worker but the equally important transition at home, is often barely mentioned.
Yet it’s a whole lifestyle shift for every member of the family.
It can feel like you’re left to figure it all out on your own and learn things the hard way. One thing I hear over and over at our community meet‑ups is, “I thought I was the only one but now I know it’s not just me.”
I promise, you’re not alone.
The FIFO Family Project exists to make support and FIFO lifestyle information easy to find, so your family doesn’t have to navigate this on your own.
